Eligibility & Purpose:

  • This camp is open to judoka ages 12 to 20 years old with a rank of orange belt and higher. (Judoka not meeting these criteria may be considered by the project manager)

  • This camp will provide an opportunity to develop judo skills and make lasting friendships during the summer.  A major goal of this event is to provide a positive experience that will keep the group interested in judo thru their teenage years and beyond

  • All participants must be currently registered and members in good standing with one of the following organizations: United States Judo Federation, Inc. (USJF), USA Judo (USJI), and/or the United States Judo Association (USJA), with proof of current insurance coverage

Featured Clinician:

  • Marti Malloy- 2012 Olympic Bronze Medalist, 2013 World Silver Medalist

Assisting Clinician:

  • Michael Eldred- 8x World Cup Medalist, 4x Senior National Champion

Fees:

  • Overnight Camper Fee- $395 (by May 1st)/$420 (after May 1st)- includes 4 nights housing June 7-11, dinner June 7, three meals June 8-10, training fees, t-shirt, and extra activities

  • Commuter Camper Fee- $285 (by May 1st)/$310 (after May 1st)- includes dinner June 7, lunch and dinner June 8-10, training fees, t-shirt, and extra activities

  • Individual Day Session Fee- $100 per day (includes training fees, lunch and dinner, and activity for chosen day) 

  • Personal Chaperone Fee- $230 (includes 4 nights housing June 7-11, dinner June 7, three meals June 8-10) (limited space available)

Overnight Camper Housing Option:

  • Best option to fully experience all the camp has to offer and make new friends

  • Housing provided at Morrison Residence Hall at Boise State University

  • Includes 4 nights lodging- afternoon check-in on Friday, June 7th and morning checkout Tuesday, June 11th

  • Breakfast included June 8th to June 10th

  • Rooms are provided with a linen pack which includes pillow, blanket, two flat sheets, towel, pillowcase, washcloth, and a bar of soap

  • Rooms will house up to two people per room

  • Chaperones will be staying in the dorms to watch and help judo camp participants

Food and Housing Option for Personal Chaperones (limited space available):

  • Housing provided at Morrison Residence Hall at Boise State University

  • Includes 4 nights lodging- afternoon check-in on Friday, June 7th and morning checkout Tuesday, June 11th

  • Fee includes breakfast (June 8th- June 10th), lunch (June 8th- June 10th), and dinner (June 7th – June 10th)

  • Rooms will house up to two people per room

  • Rooms are provided with a linen pack which includes pillow, blanket, two flat sheets, towel, pillowcase, washcloth, and a bar of soap

  • Completion of camp registration form and waiver will be required

Things To Bring:

  • Clean judo gis (preferably 2-3 gis), any individual with a dirty, smelly, or poorly maintained gi will be not be permitted to workout. Wash your gis & repair all tears and holes in them before you arrive

  • A towel to dry yourself as needed during breaks and after the workouts

  • A water bottle to stay hydrated during training sessions

  • Footwear - zori, slippers, sandals, & etc. to keep your feet clean off the mat

  • Swimsuit, running clothes and shoes

  • If staying in dorm rooms, you must provide any personal toiletries not included in the provided linen pack

  • Have & demonstrate good personal hygiene, respect, and appreciation for yourself and others

Tentative Activities (Final camp activities will be decided in May)

  • Rafting on the main Payette River or Roaring Springs Water Park AND

  • Wahooz Family Fun Center and/or Student Union Building Game Center and/or Boise State REC bouldering and climbing wall

Airport Transportation

  • Transportation from Boise Airport to Boise State University on June 7th will be available from 12pm-5pm

  • Transportation from Boise State University to Boise Airport on June 11th will be available from 4:30 am-12pm

  • Other times may be available, please contact the project manager for more information

Video Recording:

  • People may video record the instruction and the training for personal/private use
